• Devoro is a speed reading app. You can import content or generate AI articles.
• Free tier has limits. Paid tier unlocks more features and multi-device sync.
• Do not use the app for anything illegal or harmful.
• We can terminate accounts that violate these terms.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not us.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Devoro ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email.

2. Description of Service

Devoro is a speed reading application that uses RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) technology. The App allows you to:

• Import and speed-read content from URLs, PDFs, EPUBs, and plain text
• Generate AI-powered articles on topics of your choice
• Practice speed reading with pre-made content
• Track your reading progress and take comprehension quizzes

3. Accounts

Registration

You may use limited features without an account. To access full features, you must sign in using Google or Apple authentication.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
• Not share your account with others

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting privacy@devoro.app.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse the service or other users

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Tiers

Devoro offers free and premium tiers. Premium features include:

• Unlimited AI-generated articles
• Extended speed range (up to 1500 WPM)
• Multi-device sync
• Additional content tones and durations

Billing

Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. By subscribing, you agree to their respective terms:

Renewal and Cancellation

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Cancel anytime through your App Store or Google Play account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No partial refunds for unused time

Refunds

All refund requests are handled by Apple or Google, not Devoro. Contact their support:

5. User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you import into Devoro (articles, documents, text). By importing content, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store and process your content to provide the service
• Sync your content across devices (if subscribed)

We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes beyond providing the service.

Content Restrictions

You agree not to import or generate content that:

• Infringes intellectual property rights
• Contains malware or malicious code
• Is illegal, defamatory, or obscene
• Promotes violence or discrimination

AI-Generated Content

Articles generated by the AI feature are created for your personal use. You may use, share, or modify this content as you wish. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the App
• Circumvent subscription restrictions or payment systems
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with the App's operation or security
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App
• Resell or commercially exploit the App without permission

7. Intellectual Property

Our Property

Devoro, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the App as intended.

Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the App, you grant us the right to use this feedback without compensation or attribution.

8. Disclaimers

"As Is" Service

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The App is free of viruses or harmful components
• Results from using the App will be accurate or reliable

Educational Content

Devoro is a reading tool, not a substitute for professional education, medical advice, legal advice, or any other professional service. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Service interruption or data loss
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you import into the App

11. Governing Law and Disputes

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of Ireland. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.

EU Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights under your local law.

12. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Devoro.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights without restriction.
